I added some more features to FeedJumbler tonight:
The link below will demonstrate the new capabilities - showing you a sample of the JavaScript output version of a merge of all feeds of my blogs and websites, limited to the latest 20 entries, showing only the headlines and including the title of the original feed in the entry title:

When I became a member of TRAC (Train Riders’ Association of California), it was mainly because I was interested in going to their conference and riding along on the MUNI tour, but then I saw how - well - outdated their website was, so I offered to make a new one. And who would have thought, they even took me up on the offer. So here it is, the new TRAC website:
I added some improved error handling in cause of problems reading one of the source feeds and made the retrieval of the source feeds multi-threaded, so it should be quite a bit faster now.

After some trial and error when trying to cook to U.S. recipes, we finally figured it out - you see, they have these strange measurement units here, not just for regular stuff like length (inch, foot, yard, mile) or weight (ounce, pound), but also for cooking-related measurements: there’s “teaspoon”, “tablespoon” and “cup”. But you see, this should not just be taken literally, there is a specific meaning behind these units - as you can see here:
1 cup = 237 ml = 226 grams
etc.
Guess this was to be expected: Google has enhanced its recently introduced Google Maps service with satellite images - technology that was acquired with the recent acquisition of Keyhole.
So with that, here’s a satellite view of our neighborhood: 201 Flynn Ave, Mountain View, CA 94043. Note that the red pin is a bit too far on the left - it’s about at the northwest corner of our complex.
I’ve decided to create a new website Mountain View Parks & Playgrounds, where we intend to write down our experiences with the various parks and playgrounds in the Mountain View area.

This sounds like it might be Google’s April fools joke for this year …
