Custom date format and language for feedjumbler

Haven’t updated the documentation yet, but as you can see in the following example, there are two new parameters in the HTML related output URLs for feedjumbler, with which you can set a custom dateformat and language:

http://feedjumbler.com/…?…&datelanguage=de-CH&dateformat=dddd,+MMMM+dd,+yyyy

Refer to the MSDN docs for CultureInfo (for datelanguage) and DateTime.ToString (for dateformat).

Hi - love Feedjumbler! Was just what I was looking for. Quick question though - the dates in my Feedjumbler RSS feed are 5 hours behind what they should be. How do I set the timezone? Is it something to do with the datelanguage setting above?

Thanks

No, sorry, you cannot adjust the timezone. If you use HTML output, it will always show U.S. Eastern time. In RSS, times should come up in GMT however and whatever client you use should be able to adjust the times as desired.

Hmmm… RSS is coming up as Eastern time too. Ah well, thanks anyway :-)

I LOVE FeedJumbler too …
My “jumbled” RSS feed also seems to be 4h off :-(

Another small issue is that if the source feed has no content in the tags, then FeedJumbler seems to add a “(none)” text. Is this necessary? Can this text be removed?

Many thanks!

Klaus (Sydney)
