And yes, we’re guilty, too. Today we purchased a string of lights for our christmas tree. It has 100 lights and it cost all of $2.99 (Actually, it cost only $2 because it was already on sale). And of course it was made in China. How can something be made in China and still only cost so little? Just the cost of transporting it over here should be far too high to make this practical…

Dave wants a “back-end search engine” that is open to all developers. Somebody should point him at this site - once that project progresses, this will probably do what Dave wants. At least it is their stated intention.
