Piers Sellers and Michael Fossum made three spacewalks, including a repair of the station’s transporter so construction of the half-built space station can resume.
Huh? They have a transporter up there? Why do they still bother with the rockets then? This should solve all our transportation problems - not just in space, but also on Earth. Of course, there will always be people that feel like Bones McCoy and will be reluctant to use the device, for fear that their molecules might be totally messed up afterwards …

Well, sure they got transporters.. BUT.. ever watches voyager, DS9, Enterprise…?
It is all for the drama….. where else can two or more characters have a deep conversation, while letting cheap SFX stars zoom past?
